Gary L. Netson

Gary LeRoy "Papa" Netson, 77, of Topeka, passed away on October 17, 2020.

He was born in Cleburne, KS, on May 10, 1943, the son of Ralph and Doris (Swanson) Netson. He graduated from Topeka High School, the class of 1961.

On October 5, 1968, Gary married Mary Ann Birdsley in Topeka, KS.

Gary, also known as Swede by his life-long friends, enjoyed working as a farmer and truck driver for Herrman's Excavating. He had a passion for cutting wood and tinkering in the garage.

Gary is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer (David) Meseke; son, Brian (Tammy) Blakely, son, Randy Blakely; grandson, A.J. (Jordyn) Davis; granddaughters, Madison, Brynn, Lucy Meseke; great-grandson, Ryker Davis; brother, Jon (Michelle) Netson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Netson and mother, Doris Netson; wife, Mary Ann Netson; son, Garrett Netson; brothers, Robert Netson and Galvin "Wayne" Netson; sisters, Janet Wiechmann and Betty Jean Netson; mother-in-law, Lucille Birdsley and father-in-law, James Birdsley.

A visitation will be Thursday, October 22nd from 8:00AM-11:00AM at Parker-Price Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM.
