Gary J. May

Gary Joseph May, 55, of Topeka passed away at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.   He was born April 23, 1964 in Wichita the son of Cecil and Josephine R. Hadley May.   Gary lived in Wichita until 2000 when he moved to El Dorado Springs, Missouri.   He moved to Topeka in 2006.   Gary worked and lived at Starkey Community Living Center in Wichita.  He had been active in Special Olympics of Kansas, attended Loving Hearts and Sheltered Living events. Gary attended the catholic church in El Dorado Springs.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice and Cecilia Eckert of Wichita; his Aunt Barb in Thayer, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Josephine and a brother, Earl May.

Cremation is planned.   He will be inurned at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of Kansas.  davidsonfuneral.com
