Garry Lee Morris

Garry Lee Morris, age 75, of Meriden, KS passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at the University of Kansas St. Francis Campus.  Garry was born December 17, 1945 in Topeka, one of 12 children born to William Frank and Cora E. (Butler) Morris.  Garry served in the U.S. Army from 1963 – 1966.  He married Wilma Bruton November 16, 1962.  Garry owned and operated Garry Morris Auctioneer Service and also worked for Kooser Auctioneering Service.  He was employed by the State of Kansas as a carpenter.  He also worked for Jefferson West School District #340 as a custodian and drove a bus for over 25 years.  Garry was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Topeka and the Arab Shrine Temple in Topeka.

Garry is survived by his wife, Wilma of over 59 years; three sons, Richard Morris of Meriden, Frank (Teresa) Morris of Ozawkie and Craig (Annette) Morris of Meriden; a daughter, Shelly (Doug) Coverdale of Holton; a brother, Richard “Wayne” (Rhonda) Morris of Oklahoma City, OK; brother-in-law, Warren (Esther) Bruton; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden, KS.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
