Gail Newell

Gail Newell, 72, of Topeka, Ks., died Saturday morning, January 27, 2018 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on April 27, 1945 in Springfield, Missouri. In 1955 she moved to Topeka with her family where she attended Topeka public schools and Washburn University.

Gail worked at the Menninger Foundation as administrative assistant for 26 years and later at the FHLBank for 14 years before retiring.

She was married to Wayne Newell on September 27, 1964.   Wayne survives at their home in Topeka

Other survivors include her son, Steve Newell and his wife Heather of Topeka; a grandson Alex Newell of Topeka; and her sister, Kay Holland of Topeka.

Following her wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
