Frederick William Fechter

Frederick William Fechter III, 82, of Bushong, Kansas, passed away on April 14, 2021. He was born December 29, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Fredrick W. and Ellen L. Winchell Fechter. He was raised at Glasford, Illinois and later attended Illinois Community College in Peoria. Fred served in the United States Navy. He was raised at and worked at the first Christmas tree farm in Illinois. He later owned and operated his own pest control company and then followed his lifelong passion and became a Master Billiard Instructor. He was affiliated with the Billiard instructor associations ACS, BCVA and CIIA. He founded CueSport Billiard Academy.
Frederick is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill. He is survived by his children, Fredrick W. “Bud” Fechter IV of Bushong, Tammy (John) Lofthouse in Florida, Cathy (Vincent) Cappello and Janet Fechter, both of Peoria; grandchildren, Mindy, Misty, Kristen, Tricia, Crystal, Joey and Josh; 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Steve True Fechter in Arkansas; sister, Mary Janice Conett in Italy; his ex-wife, Janice Fechter in Hanna City, Illinois; soulmate friend Dorothy Hart of Chillicothe, Illinois.
Cremation is planned. Graveside memorial services will be held at the Bushong Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021. The family will greet friends after the graveside service. The service will be live-streamed at the Davidson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Facebook page. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
