Freda Parrett

Freda V. Parrett, 87, of Topeka, died Oct. 19, 2009 at McCrite Plaza surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 16, 1922 in Bushong, KS, the daughter of Enoch and Vaye Markley. Freda married Richard A. Parrett on Oct. 13, 1946 in Topeka, he survives. Also surviving are a son: Markley Parrett of Topeka, 2 daughters: Jana Parrett of Overland Park and Ann Parrett Anderson (Guy) of Topeka and 3 granddaughters: Melissa, Olivia and Hannah Anderson all of Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heart of America Hospice 3715 SW 29 St. Ste 100, Topeka, KS 66614 or Topeka Rescue Mission 600 N Kansas Ave, Topeka KS, 66608. Services will be at 1:00 PM Fri. Oct. 23 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Springhill Cemetery. Freda will lie in state after 3 PM Thur.
