Freda Dinwiddie, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, August 07, 2012.

She was born January 19, 1933, in Topeka, daughter of James Freer and Inez (Spencer) Johnston. Freda graduated from Berryton High School in 1950.

She was united in marriage to Paul Dinwiddie on January 15, 1953.

Freda enjoyed her involvement with the Santa Fe Bowling and Golfing Associations. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Freda is survived by her children, Paula (Rick) Werts, Pam (Chris) Urban, and Steve (Tricia) Dinwiddie, all of Topeka; six grandchildren, Cherise Miller, Ashley Thompson, Ben Werts, Austin Urban, Paul Dinwiddie, and Mathew Dinwiddie; three great-grandchildren, Kensie, Taelyn, and Aubriauna; and brothers, Johnnie Johnston and Richard Johnston, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Jimmie Johnston, Ray Johnston, Robert Johnston, and sister, Lois Jean Shirley.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9th, at Half-Day Cemetery, East of Hwy 75 and 62nd Street. Memorials may be directed to Northland Christian Church, 3102 NW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66617 or Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th Street, Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
