Franklin Billy "Bill" Moore, 83, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
He was born November 20, 1937, in North Platte, Nebraska, the son of Charley and Venona (Wilcox) Moore. He served in the U.S. Army until being honorably discharged.
Bill was employed by Lewis Auto Salvage in Topeka until retiring.
Bill married Donna J. Haid on April 21, 1961. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2018. Survivors include his children: Marsha Nelson (Micheal), Gaila Boyles (Howey), Randy Moore (Kelly) and Angie Mauk (Travis), all of Topeka; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Durell (Donald) of Browning, IL and Sharon Busby (Jim) of Beardstown, IL; and his brother, Dennis Moore (Dorothy) of McClouth, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandchild, Jacob; his brother, Charles Moore; three sisters, Marilyn Hay, Betty Cremer and Shirley Schmidt; and his son-in-law, Sam Boyles.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and drinking beer.
A funeral ceremony will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
