Frank E. Jaynes

July 9, 1971 — September 18, 2021

Frank Eugene Jaynes III, age 50, of Burlingame, KS, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.  Frank was born July 9, 1971 in Topeka, the son of Frank, Jr. and Sandy (Blodgett) Jaynes.  He attended and graduated from Highland Park High School.  He met his wife, Kayla when they were 15 and 16 years old.  They married on June 15, 1991 in Topeka.  They spent a lifetime together as soulmates, best friends, business owners, and loved and cherished one another each and every day!  He owned three businesses, Jaynes Automotive Repair and Car Sales and was Co-Owner of Auburn Odds & Ends Antiques and Furniture.

Frank was preceded in death by his son, Brent Jaynes; his father, Frank Jaynes, Jr., and his in-laws, Robert, Jr. and Loretta Massey.  He is survived by his wife, Kayla Jaynes; two daughters, Casey (Darci) and Alissa Jaynes of Burlingame; a granddaughter, Camdyn; mother, Sandy Jaynes of Lawrence, KS; father-in-law, Joe Degan, Sr.; a sister, Cheri (Michael) Jaynes-Mullins of Lawrence, KS; two sisters-in-law, Angie (Jarret) Burkey of Auburn, KS and Heather (Jonathan) Miller of Topeka, KS and a brother-in-law, Joe Degan, Jr. of Burlingame, KS.

Frank enjoyed so much about life such as spending time with all his family and friends at events, swimming, playing volleyball, bowling, go-carts, ATV’s, fishing and going on lots of vacations.  His favorite place for vacation was Branson, MO.  His passion was rebuilding hot rods like his 1970 Chevelle and many others, but he absolutely loved racing his #07 race car out at Heartland Park Raceway.  He was a firm believer in Bigfoot and was a superfan of everything Star Wars.  He loved a wide array of music and would jam out every day.  He loved all four of his fur babies, including Tiny, Baylee, Tank and Lily and would love spending time with them.  He loved everyone dearly and considered everyone his friend.  He was truly a one-of-a-kind man, a dedicated father and family man.  He worked so very hard all his life, as you could tell by his grease-stained hands.  He always said that his pride and joy was all his girls and he made sure that we always knew that.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  He will lie in state Thursday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Davidson Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.  davidsonfuneral.com
