Frances Tindell

Frances Tindell, 74, of Carbondale, passed away at her home on Friday, February 26, 2021.   Frances was born September 12, 1946 in Lecompton, one of 12 children born to George A. and Iva Glenn Chiles.   Frances worked for over 30 years at Frito Lay in Topeka.   Frances enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who all meant the world to her.

She was married to John Tindell on May 24, 1963 in Scranton.   John passed away on December 8, 2010.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Louise Peterson and husband Sam of Burlingame, Kansas and Gale Renette Gibbs and husband David of Carbondale; grandkids, Jessica, Isreal, Breanna, MacKenzie, Alisha and Shelbie; great grandkids, Kayneslee, Aidyn, James, Alyssa, Atlas and Orion.

Frances was also preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings; and her great granddaughter Ariya.

A celebration of Frances' life will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Elms Building, 228 Main Street, Carbondale, Ks 66414. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, in honor of great granddaughter Ariya.
