Frances Jo Thomas, 82, of Houston, Texas, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas. She was born April 28, 1931, in Louisiana, Missouri, the daughter of Philip Hunter and Viola Frances (Lange) Thomas.
Frances was reared in Topeka, Kansas, and graduated from Topeka High School. After graduating from Topeka High School she made her home in Houston, Texas, where she was a travel agent. She retired from American Express in 2001.
She traveled the World throughout her career.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bill Thomas of Manhattan, Kansas and Robert Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona.
Surviving are a sister: Phyllis (Gary) Barnard of Lawrence, Kansas; a sister-in-law: Glenndine Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Private interment of cremains in Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Road, Topeka, Kansas.
