OBITUARY Mrs. Frances Irene Lassman
Mrs. Frances Irene Lassman, 92, Topeka, died Wed. morning, Jan. 24, 2007, at Midland Hospice House. She was born Oct. 20, 1914, at Maple Hill the daughter of Frank A. and Bessie A. (Merritt) Allen.
Frances taught school at Maple Hill and worked in the Santa Fe General Offices and for the State of Kansas Social Services. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal Chapter # 176, O.E.S., White Shrine of Jerusalem. the American Legion Auxillary, and the V.F.W. Auxillary.
Frances was married to Ralph Otto Lassman on March 27, 1948, at Maple Hill. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Viola and Beatrice.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Scott Kelly of Bryan, TX; 5 grandchildren: Amy, Kathryn, Caelan, Daniel, and Matthew; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Sat., Jan. 27, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery. Frances will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri. at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
