AUBURN Frances C. Coffee, 81, Auburn, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Valley Springs Assisted Living in Auburn. Frances was born on Oct. 15, 1922, to Nick and Jessie Beaver in Osage City. Frances was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She graduated from Topeka High School. She married Charles Albert Coffee on Sept. 13, 1969, in Topeka. He preceded her into death on June 26, 1983. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Head Jr., and Joe Schulmeister, Topeka; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Rochester Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Coffee will lie in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, where the family will receive friends after the rosary until 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N.
