Floyd E. Michaels, 88, of Ozawkie, passed away on March 11, 2021 at Midland Care.
He was born on November 19, 1932 to Ellis and Dolly (Reichelt) Michaels at Moorhead, IA.
Floyd worked in the accounting and finance department for the United States Air Force for over 20 years, where he later retired.
Floyd married Irene G. Stewart, she precedes him in death.
He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. Floyd loved to watch the flowers grow, that is daughter Julie planted just for him, in his special spot under the deck. He was an amazing grandfather and loved to spoil his grandchildren. You could always find him in the stands cheering. He was an avid supporter for all of his grandchildren in all their events.
Floyd is survived by his children, Sheila (Derral) Sommerfeld, Thomas F. Michaels, and Julie A. Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Son, Darren L. Michaels; Siblings, George Michaels, Samuel Michaels, Betty Meyer, Edna Williams, Clarence Michaels, and Lila Smoot.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 15, 2021, at10:00 am at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services will follow, starting at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Midland Hospice Care, and sent in the care of Parker Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608
