Mae Marie Florence (Robbin) Schneider, 79, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015.
She was born August 13, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Bernard Ernest and Margaret Fern (Angell) Robbin. She was a 1954 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, St. Louis.
Her and her late husband owned and operated Allied Paints, Topeka since 1969.
She was a member of Mother Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church.
Sue married Milton James "Jim" Schneider on October 22, 1955 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Susan R. (Jan) Smith, Topeka, and Leslie (John) Noller, Hoyt; two sons, Michael (Melinda) Schneider and David Schneider, all of Topeka; and eight grandchildren, Danielle, Matthew, Sam, Sara, Garrett, Hannah, John and Ben; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Marie Schneider, on March 9, 1978; and a brother, Ernest Robbin.
Sue enjoyed going to the casino with her husband and receiving hugs from everybody.
A funeral ceremony will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
Sue will lie in state after 3 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
