Florence M. Burt, 93, of Meriden, KS, died Tues., March 23, 2010, at Rolling Hills, Topeka, KS. She was born May 22, 1916, at Bradley, SD, the daughter of William F. and Diana E. (Regnier) Herr. She had lived in Grand Rapids, MN, for many years before moving to Meriden. She was member of the Meriden Senior Citizens; F.C.E. Extenison in Jefferson Co., KS, and the Auxiliary to Ponti Peterson V.F.W. Post # 1720. She was married to Roy E. Burt on Jan. 11, 1936, at Grand Rapids, MN. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters: Alma A. Herr and Olive Jorgenson, and a brother, Lawrence Herr. Surviving are a brother: Joseph W. Herr of Grand Rapids, MN; 4 sisters: Eloise Crumrine of Cheyenne, WY, Elaine Allen of Meriden, KS, Rosabelle Harris of Scranton, KS, and Ione Williams of Topeka, KS; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM, Fri., March 26, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS. Interment in Meriden Cemetery. Florence will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, Fri.
