OBITUARY Mrs. Florence E. S. Klamm Berry
Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Susan Klamm Berry, 90, Tecumseh, peacefully passed away of natural causes on Wed., Aug. 1, 2007, at Midland Hospice House. The daughter of Theodore Zenith and Mary Marie (Klamm) Klamm, she was born Sept. 21, 1916, on the Klamm Family Farm at Tecumseh, where she spent her entire life in the same house.
Florence had a life-long love of animals, specifically cats and was a pushover for any stray cats. She enjoyed ornamental chickens as special pets. She held a special interest in her yard's trees and flowers.
She was married to Elton B. Berry on Sept. 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1965.
Florence is survived by 2 nieces: Mildred Wege of Topeka and Dolores Lewis of Kansas City; 2 nephews: Dean Klamm of Topeka and Bill Klamm of Wichita; a brother-in-law: Willis (Bonnie) Berry of Springfield, MO; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon, Aug. 6, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Tecumseh. Florence will lie in state after 12:00 noon, Sunday at the funeral chapel. The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to service time.
