F. Yvonne Remfry
Fancheon "Yvonne" Remfry, 86, Topeka, passed into glory January 9, 2014. She was born December 11, 1927, in Topeka, the daughter of Clara "Ethel" (Ward) and George Leo Jacques, Sr.
Yvonne graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn College for two years. She worked for Dr. W.C. Hansen for 11 years; Gage Bowl for eight years; and for over 20 years was an addiction Therapist at Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center.
She was a member of Helena Chapter # 210, Order of the Eastern Star.
Yvonne was married to Richard Kaberline on April 3, 1948 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on December 16, 1997. She was married to Kenneth A. Remfry on March 25, 1978, at Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2000.
Surviving are her three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a sister.
The family will host a celebration gathering at Penwell-Gabel Family Center, 1940 NW Central Avenue, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2014.
Private interment of cremains will be at Rochester Cemetery.
