Everette O. Vawter, 68, of Sabetha and formerly of Topeka, passed away July 13, 2009.
Everette was born February 14, 1941 to Orville and Berniece (Self) Vawter.
Survivors include his brother, Leslie A. (Laurel) Vawter of Oceanside, CA, his sister, Laura (Larry) Mumert of Topeka, two nephews, William (Debbie) Mumert of Topeka, and John A. (Gloria) Vawter of Valencia, CA, two nieces; Michelle (Bruce) Stewart of Lawrence, and Leslie Ann (Jeff) Allen of Overbrook, KS, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Everette is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Vawter, a brother, Robert Vawter, and both parents.
Everette will lie in state after 2:00 pm, Friday, July 17th, with visitation to be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 10:30 am, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Nemaha County Hospice,14th And Oregon, Sabetha, KS 66534.
