Evelyn Juanita (Clark) Davin, 85, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
She was born January 18, 1931, in Olivet, Kansas, the daughter of Lewis and Hazel (Shackelford) Clark.
Evelyn was employed by the Topeka State Hospital and later for the Topeka Senior Center.
Evelyn married Douglas Earl Hodges on June 29, 1948 in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1968. She married Orville Davin. He preceded her in death. Her long-time companion, Alfred Gomez also preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Dave Hodges, Topeka; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Benjamin) Bammes, Pearland, TX, Matthew (Cara Trotter) Hodges, Topeka and Sophie Hodges, Topeka; four great-grandchildren, Elliott, Parker, Cora and Zoe; and four brothers, Homer (Maxine) Clark, Emporia, Rev. William (Sally) Clark, Kansas City, Ralph (Andrea) Clark, Topeka and Dean Clark, Emporia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Mary, Florence, DeEtta and Beverly.
Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and completing word searches.
A funeral ceremony will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
