OBITUARY: Esther I. Stovall Carver
Mrs. Esther I. Stovall Carver, 89, Topeka, died, Sun., Feb. 19, 2006. She was born March 20, 1916, at Valencia the daughter of Burgess E. and Myrtle M. (Anderson) Pendleton.
She was a nurses' aide at St. Francis Hospital before retiring.
Esther was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Orren W. Stovall and Alta R. Carver; a granddaughter; 2 grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
Surviving are 4 children: Orren, Bonnie, Barbara, and Alberta; 8 step-children; 9 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Fri., Feb. 24, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Esther will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Thurs. at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
