Ernestine Ann Adams

Ernestine Ann Adams, 84, of Tecumseh, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023.
She was born at home on December 27, 1938, in Junction City, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred and Alice (Sutter) Adams.
She graduated from Seaman High School in 1956. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1963 from The University of Kansas.
Ernestine was employed with USD 450 for 22 years and was the administrative secretary for 14 years at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Alvin (Buddy) Adams and many loving nieces and nephews; and her loving friend and neighbor for more than 50 years, Neva Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dixie Jean Adams and Nancy Flo Thompson, and brother, Alfred "Sonny" Adams.
Ernestine enjoyed working with children in after-school programs, Sunday School, her church family, gardening and volunteering with Hospice Services. She was also involved with the Topeka Justice Unity and Ministry Project (JUMP).
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka.
