OBITUARY: Erman L. Christensen
Erman L. Christensen, 81, Topeka, died Sat., Dec. 4, 2010, at Midland Hospice House. He was born Dec. 8, 1928, at Arnold, NE, the son of Martin and Marie E. (Rookstool) Christensen. Erman had served in the Kansas National Guard. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Surviving are his wife: Doris A. (Wolfe) Christensen of the home; 2 daughters: Terri Christensen (Kevin Negus) and Lori Barnes (Tom) both of Topeka; 2 sons: Darrell Christensen (Ann) of Topeka and Danny Christensen of Brooklyn, NY; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., Dec. 8, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Erman will lie in state from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Wed., at the funeral chapel.
