OBITUARY: Erma May Stalcup
Erma May Stalcup, 80, passed away Wed., Nov. 21, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Hospital after a battle with leukemia. She was born May 23, 1927, in Centralia, the daughter of Levi and Annabelle Fritch. Erma graduated from Centralia High School.
She was employed as a school secretary at Rochester Elementary School for over 20 years. She also worked at John Morrell Packing Plant and Hollywood Maxwell.
Erma married Leonard Stalcup on May 18, 1946. Leonard, the love of her life, survives as well as her son, Richard Stalcup and his wife, Cindy, of Ft. Lupton, CO; daughter, Nancy Miller of Topeka; brothers: Carol, Bob, and Vernon Fritch; sisters, Wilma Mayer and Betty Boamaster; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Marvin, Eldon, and William Fritch; and a sister: Mildred Mooney.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Erma will lie in state after 4:00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.
