Eric Howard, 50, lifelong Topeka area resident, passed away on January 29, 2020. Eric was born January 23, 1970 in Topeka the son of Robert and Linda Brummitt Howard. He graduated from Jefferson West High School at Meriden in 1988. After graduation he attended Kaw Valley Area VoTech School in Topeka learning his lifelong trade of welding. Eric was a welder for several companies in the Topeka and Northeast Kansas area. He enjoyed classic cars, Star Wars movies and Ozzy. He liked to have fun all the time and was often referred to as “Good Time Eric”.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Howard of Topeka; children, Cody Novikoff and wife Lauren of Olathe, and Emily Howard of Topeka; siblings, Pam Herrick and Tracy of Salina, Todd Howard of Topeka, Kelly Banark and Mike of Platte City, Missouri, and Dr. Erinn Howard of Topeka; and several nieces and nephews including Knox of Topeka.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Friday evening, January 31st at Davidson Funeral Home. Following the visitation, cremation is planned.
