Emmett Stephens, 69, Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018.
He was born July 5, 1949, in Trenton, Georgia, the son of Pete and Mary Lou (Davis) Stephens.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during Vietnam in Okinawa. Emmett and Warren "Ed" Howe owned and operated E & E Construction in Topeka for several years, retiring in 2011.
Emmett married Carol Calvin on July 8, 1993 in Miami, OK. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Nikki (Paula) Stephens, Valley Head, AL; special daughters, Lori Lux (Robert Standley), Topeka; Angela Calvin, Pittsburg, KS; and Timili (Bill) Cole, Topeka and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. A reception will follow the service.
