Mrs. Emma Darlene "Dot" Cox, 71, of Topeka died Wednesday evening, Dec. 1, 2004 at St. Francis Hosp. She was born Sept. 10, 1933 at Berryton, KS the daughter of Fred Wm. and Laura Ellen (Edie) Bishop.
Mrs. Cox had lived in the Topeka area most of her life.
She was married to Lorel W. Cox on June 14, 1952 at Topeka. He survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Dan Green of Topeka; a son: Rodney Cox of Topeka; a sister: Martha Surber of Benton, KS; and two grandsons: Eric Green and Jake Cox both of Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Sat., Dec. 4, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
