OBITUARY: Mrs. Elsie Pauline Meade
Mrs. Elsie Pauline Meade, 73, Topeka died Sat. morning, Oct. 1, 2005 at her home. She was born July 24, 1932 at Parma, MO the daughter of William Black and Elsie (Anderson) Emerson.
Mrs. Meade had worked at Ira Price's Cafe and the State of Kansas. She was a member of Heritage Park Wesleyan Church.
On June 16, 1962 she was married to Albert E. Meade at Topeka.
Surviving are her husband, Albert E. Meade, of the home; 2 daughters: Janet Newell and Joan Bahner both of Topeka; 4 brothers: Kenneth and Eugene Emerson both of Mayetta and Harley and Sam Emerson both of Topeka; 7 grandchildren: Pauletta Hug of Mayetta, Shannon Frakes of Topeka, Deric Perron of Meriden, Jamie Perron of Topeka, Jeff Newell of Topeka, Heather Newell of Topeka and Michael Perron of Topeka; and 8 great-grandchildren: Justin, Brittany, Anthony, Chance, Caitlyn, Carver, Skyler, and Ae'Owyn.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tues., Oct. 4, 2005 at Heritage Park Wesleyan Church, 2121 SW Harrison. Interment will be in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont.
Mrs. Meade will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
