Elsie F. Anderson, 92, of Topeka, passed away, Monday, April 19, 2006 at her sons' home in Yermo, California.
She was born October 17, 1913 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Ralph H. and Hazel A. Bailor Fairchild. Elsie was a graduate of Topeka High School.
She was a homemaker. Elsie had also sold real estate and served as an Avon representative.
She was a member of Wanamaker Seventh Day Adventists Church, Topeka Chapter #462 Order of the Eastern Star, the Trinity White Shrine, Modern Woodmen and Royal Neighbors. She was a choir member at the church.
She married Ralph Waldo Anderson July 2, 1934 in Topeka. He preceded her in death April 1, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Frances Eilene Aubert and her brother Jim Fairchild. Survivors include one son, William R. Anderson, Yermo, CA; her granddaughter, Debra Gillespie, Stroud,Oklahoma; her grandson, Luke Alan Aubert, Avondale, AZ; one sister, Hazel M. Slotrem,San Gabriel, CA; eight great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. Eastern Star services will be conducted by Topeka Chapter #462 O.E.S.. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson will lie in state after 12:00 noon Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
