Elmer W. Lambert
ROSSVILLE -- Elmer W. Lambert, 77, Rossville, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at a Rossville retirement home.
Mr. Lambert retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 1986 after 31 years of service.
He was born April 26, 1925, in Rossville, the son of Edgar Lee and Katherine Rose Droegemeier Lambert. He graduated from Rossville High School.
Mr. Lambert was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church, the Methodist Old Timers of Rossville (MOTORS), the Rossville Saddle Club and Rubber Workers Union Local No. 307.
He married Marcial A. Robinson on June 30, 1948, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cindy L. Langworthy, Lake Wabaunsee; two sisters, Rosemary Dancer, Boise, Idaho, and Shirley Wheeler, Canyon Lake, Texas; a brother, Robert Lambert, Salem, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by a son, Terry W. Lambert, on Sept. 17, 1989.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Lambert will lie in state after 3 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
