OBITUARY: Elmer Lee Francis
Elmer Lee Francis, 83, Silver Lake, died Fri., July 15, 2011, at Plaza West, Topeka. He was born Jan. 7, 1928, at Miltonvale, the son of Emery J. and Neva (Geist) Francis. He graduated from Miltonvale High School. Elmer served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He retired from Goodyear. He was a member of Lake Lodge # 50, AF & AM. Elmer was married to Dorothy J. Jackson on March 23, 1949, at Clay Center. She survives. Also surviving are 3 sons: Daniel of Silver Lake, Donald of St. George, and Charles "Chuck" of Silver Lake; 3 daughters: Donna Ronsse of Topeka, Connie Crowder of Topeka, and Carol Michael of Albuquerque, NM; 2 brothers: Rex of Geneseo, and Max of Bridgeport, WV; 2 sisters: Betty Rhodes and Phyllis Jackson both of Clifton; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., July 18, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Elmer will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
