OBITUARY: Ms. Elizabeth Marie Kennedy

Ms. Elizabeth Marie Kennedy, 69, Topeka died May 28, 2005. She was born March 29, 1936 in Nettleton, MS the daughter of Vardaman and Sally (Raines) Hallmark who preceded her in death. She was married to Ray Kennedy who preceded her in death.

Ms. Kennedy had served on the City of Auburn's Planning Commission and had been a volunteer for CASA. She retired from Josten's and was a real estate agent for Countryside Realty.

Surviving family includes: Bill Kennedy and his wife, Deloris, of Harveyville; Karla Meggison and her husband, Steve, of Berryton; Rick Kennedy and his wife, Susan, of Wakarusa; Don Kennedy and his wife, Stacy, of Wakarusa; and Alice Murray and her husband, Ron, out of state; a sister, Helen Hester of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, North Topeka. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery.

Ms. Kennedy will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
