Elizabeth C. Peckenschneider, 81, of Topeka, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Topeka. She was born on Oct. 20, 1922, in Allen County, to William and Cora Japhet Van Pelt. Mrs. Peckenschneider was a food service supervisor for Holiday Inn. She also was a trained nurse. She married Harry Peckenschneider on Feb. 24, 1949, in Seneca. He died Feb. 7, 1999. She was also preceded in death by an infant child. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Burial will be in Half-Day Cemetery in Elmont. Mrs. Peckenschneider will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contribution may be made to Cat Association of Topeka, 1719 S.W.
