Elizabeth Grace Adkins, 84, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at a local hospital.
Elizabeth was born February 24, 1926 in Banner, VA, the daughter of Thomas and Nellie (Robinson) Baber.
She worked as a dietary aide at Stormont Vail Hospital, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Faith Family Life Centre in Topeka.
Elizabeth married William Adkins on April 12, 1946 in Pikeville, KY. He died January 4, 2009. Survivors include daughters, Joyce (Ken) Oldridge, Debbie Lozzi, all of Topeka; grandchildren, Tina (David) Pace, Julie (Randy) Price, Cory (Sara) Zellers, Kylie (Mark) Essman; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Faith Family Life Centre. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Elizabeth will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence after 2:00 p.m. on Monday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
