Eleanor Maxine Abel

Eleanor M Abel, of Topeka, passed away on October 30, 2017. She was born October 29, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas. Eleanor was the daughter of Adolf and Mary Zeferjahn. She was married to John Edward Abel who passed away in 1996. Eleanor had two children, Shirley Barbarich who passed away in October of 2016, and her son John Clifford Abel whom resides in Frisco, Texas.

Eleanor was a long-time member of Lighthouse of the Rock Church and was ministered to Reverend Craig Liskey.

Eleanor is survived by five grandchildren, Fawn Nelson, Darrin Griffin, Dory Griffin, Sarah Zimmermann, and Derek Abel, and seven great grandchildren. She has been living in her home until the last five weeks when complications set in leading to her passing on October 30 2017.
A special thank you to her neighbors and beloved friends, Judy and Bill Tisdale for taking care of her and keeping her strong for as long as she was.

Graveside Services will be at Rochester Cemetery, Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
