OBITUARY: Elden L. Fritts
Elden L. Fritts, 86, Topeka, joined his wife, Betty, and three brothers in heavenly peace in his sleep on Mon., April 3, 2006, at home in the care of his family after a short illness. He was born Dec. 24, 1919, in Ottawa, KS the son of Jessie and Zona (Lang) Fritts.
Elden was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran. He was a Goodyear retiree who was an avid animal lover, especially his horses and cats,and a Ford Mustang enthusiast.
On Feb. 12, 1943, Elden and Betty Benson were married in Topeka.
Surviving are a son, Terry, and his wife, Debra, of Topeka; grandchildren: Darin Fritts of Lawrence, KS, Stephanie Fritts of Portland, OR, and Katie Spangler of Topeka; and a great-grandson: Hadden Spangler, of Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Thurs., April 6, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont. Elden will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Wed., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
