OBITUARY: Elda Faye White
Elda Faye White, 96, Topeka, died Fri., Sept. 10, 2010. She was born on April 6, 1914, in Lawrence, to Walter and Maude Biggs. She moved to Topeka where she lived for the rest of her life. She was married to Milton White on July 6,1932, he preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1965. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Biggs. She retired from the State of Kansas in 1979, and then returned to work for the Kansas Grand Chapter Office, O.E.S., until her retirement in 2001, at the age of 87. She was twice Past Matron of Beulah Chapter #34, O.E.S.; and a Past Lady Superior of Ancient Toltec Rite, Topeka Chapter No. 1. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Joan and Joe Wolfe of Topeka; two grandsons: Michael Wolfe of Topeka and David Wolfe, of Kansas City, KS; four great-grandsons: Andrew, Jason, Kevin, and Christopher; two great-great-grandchildren: Clayton and Kaylen; and a great-God-granddaughter: Alexzandria Wyatt. Services will be at 1:00 PM, Mon., Sept. 13, 2010, at Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 4700 SW 17th with Beulah Chapter # 34, O.E.S. Services. Elda Faye will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sun., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Grand Chapter, O.E.S. General Scholarship Fund, 3400 SW Van Buren, Topeka, KS 66611-2462.
