OBITUARY: Elaine Esther Ott
Elaine Esther Ott, 79, Topeka, died Tues., April 15, 2008, at her home. She was born May 8, 1928, at Huscher (Cloud County), the daughter of Lucus H. and Emma (Luginsland) Buss.
Elaine graduated from Holton High School and K.C. Business College. She worked for the State of Kansas and Federal Government before operating a day care in her home for 28 years, retiring in Sept., 1990. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Crusaders Sunday School Class, U.M.W., and Knife and Fork Club.
Elaine was married to Calvin D. Ott on March 6, 1949, at Holton. He survives of the home. Also surviving is a daughter, Nancy J. Ott, of Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., April 19, 2008, at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Elaine will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2627 SW Western, Topeka, KS 66611.
