Eileen R. Wages, 88, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012.
She was born June 29, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Pete and Grace (Horner) Williams. She was a graduate of Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, KS.
She was a member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, Topeka.
Eileen married Leroy C. Wages on June 23, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1992. Survivors include four children, Cecilia Slater, Lee (Lois) Wages, Steve Wages, and Phil (Tina) Wages, all of Topeka; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Flaherty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 2014 NW 46th St., Topeka, 66618. Entombment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Tuesday, at the church where the family will receive friends following the Rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
