Eileen May Suddarth
Eileen May Suddarth, 95, Topeka, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Stormont-Vail Hospital Emergency Room, Topeka. She was born August 18, 1919, at Missoula, MT, the daughter of Bert and Agnes (Theo) Robbins.
Eileen graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS and Kansas City Business College. For ten years she was a secretary at Sears Roebuck in Kansas City, MO and for 18 years she was worked in the accounting office at Sears Roebuck in Topeka, retiring in 1986. She and her husband founded the Kansas Miniature Horse Club. Her memberships included the Auxiliary to Moose Lodge # 555, Auxiliary to North Post # 400 of the American Legion, American Miniature Horse Association, and Sears Retirees.
On December 20, 1941, she was married to Orville F. Suddarth at Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Nov ember 25, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Orleen Kay Noe, on December 7, 1998.
Surviving are a son: Glen Lee Suddarth (Sheryl) of Highlands Ranch, CO; a daughter: Mary Wilson (Franklin) of Needville, TX; four grandchildren: Jon Suddarth (Katie) of Greenwod, CO, Shannon Wisne (Jerry) of Thornton, CO, Lanei Brown (Chad) of Lynnwood, WA, and Laurie Nichols (Jeff) of Lake Forest Park, WA; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment in Mission Center Cemetery, SW 29th and Urish Road, Topeka.
Eileen will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
