Eileen May Neimiller
Eileen May Neimiller, 94, Topeka, died Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Homestead Assisted Living.
She was born August 28, 1918, in Perry, KS, the daughter of Eli Floyd and Emma Nelson McCall. She graduated from Perry High School in 1936, and was the class valedictorian. She also graduated from Strickler's Business College.
Mrs. Neimiller worked in the Santa Fe Railway offices for 36 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and later Trinity Presbyterian Church.
She married Royal Neimiller on May 25, 1947. He died June 9, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Maxine Morgan.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Herman, Berryton, a niece, Carolyn Ritchey (Lonnie), Topeka, nephews Ken Morgan (Patty), Topeka, and George House (Jean), Berryton. Her great-nieces are Bridgette Proffitt, Leslie Leifer, Katie Malone, Carrie Steinle, Lea Vincent, and a great-nephew, Ryan Ritchey.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 12, 2013, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, SW 21st and Sims. Interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth.
Mrs. Neimiller will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral chapel.
