Eileen M. Best, 90, Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.
She was born January 30, 1928, in Carbondale, Kansas, the daughter of Marshal and Bertha (Bayless) Redmond.
Eileen was a secretary at Midwestern Paper Company for many years, retiring in the late 90's.
Mrs. Best was a past officer of the Craftsman Club in Topeka.
Eileen married James L. Best on January 10, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by son, Charles W. Best, siblings, Charles Redmond, Bernice Reavis and Mina Bidinger and great-great grandson, Tyler Lucas Howard.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Lana) Best, Patricia Best and Rita Beumer; sister, Jean Berry (Bill Braum); 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Eileen enjoyed her family and going to the casino.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside at Parker-Price Reception Center. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
