Edna C. Bardsley, 96, Topeka, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at her home. She was born Nov. 11, 1906, in Randolph, to Emil and Emma Schoonhoven Anderson. She attended Randolph schools. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She married Jesse E. Bardsley on April 10, 1934, in Topeka. He died on Dec. 29, 1989. She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Chad Bardsley and Jeffrey Allen. Survivors include three sons, Roger Bardsley, Topeka, Marion E. Bardsley, Everett, Wash., and Daniel Bardsley, Dallas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Edna C. Bardsley will lie in state at Parker-Price Mortuary after 3 p.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 5350 S.W. 17th, Topeka, 66604.
