Edith Stanley

Edith "Maurine" Stanley, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in her sleep. She was born October 7, 1911, the daughter of Fred Benson and Mary Geneva McConnell. She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Stanley; two daughters: Sue and Charlotte Stanley; a brother: Fred McConnell; and three grandsons: Marvin, Matt and Mark.

She is surved by her children: Mary (Jack) Jager, Canon City, Colorado; Carolyn (Gary) Tinney, Rockport, Texas; Jim (Lynn) Stanley, Topeka; and son-in-law Joe Landon, West Fork, Arkansas. She had 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a lifetime member of the Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene.

Services will be held at 10 am Monday, November 5, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment to follow at Rochester Cemetery. Maurine will lie in state after 12 noon on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the funeral chapel where family will receive friends from 3 pm - 5 pm.
