Edith Annette Lewis, 79, of Topeka, passed away on February 11, 2017.
She was born on January 4, 1938 in Gary, IN to George Albert Miller and Glendora (Juvinall) Miller.
Edith enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed helping care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lewis, of Topeka; sons, Robert (Karen) Lewis, of Topeka, Roger Lewis, of Topeka, and Ron (Michelle) Lewis, of Topeka; a daughter, Lori (Tony) Hoover, of Kingman, AZ; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, George Charles Gordon; and a brother, Charles Gordon.
Edith will lie in state from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Rd., Topeka, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edith's honor may be made to Doorstep, 1119 SW 10th St., Topeka, KS 66604 or to Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st Topeka, KS 66604.
