Edie Adams, 68, of Osage City, died Sunday, October 22, 2017, at her home surrounded by her children and family. She was born December 24, 1948, in Topeka.

She retired from U.S. Airways in 2010.

Edie was married to Dale Adams on January 20, 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents; sisters: Georgia, Wanda, Sue, and Sonia; and brothers: Marvin and Tom.

Survived by children: Curt "Danny" (Haly) Adams of Burlingame, Chad (Christine) Adams of Phoenix, AZ, Sonia (Richard) Tolbert of Topeka, and Scott Innes of Missouri; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ralph (Marilyn) Ponte of McFarland and Nick (Lisa) Nicolay of Nebraska City, NE; two sisters: Louise Williams of Osage City and Ellen Phelps of Kentucky; mother-in-law: Barbara Adams of Topeka; two brothers-in-law: Michael (Liz) Adams of Paxico and Kelly (Missy) Adams of Topeka; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka.

Edie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604 or the purchase of a new toy to be donated to a child in need at Christmas.
