Earl Tregellas

Earl DeLoss Tregellas, 96, Topeka, went to be with his Lord Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Harry Hines Memorial Hospice in Wichita. He was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Iuka, KS the son of Alfred E. and Nina L. Hall Tregellas. Earl graduated from Pratt High School. He married Ethel M. McHenry, June 1, 1929, in Iuka, KS. Earl worked as an electrician for Peters Electric the last 14 years of his career and was a member of the Local Lodge #226 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Earl was an active member of Oakland United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, sports, and wrote a book on the Tregellas genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel (April 9, 1987), a son Noel (Oct. 19, 2001), 1 brother, and 2 sisters. He is survived by a son, Loren Tregellas and wife Martha, Wichita; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Tregellas will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005.
