OBITUARY: Earl B. Wikle, Jr.
Earl B. Wikle, Jr., 65, Topeka, died Mon., March 20, 2006 at St. Francis Hosp. He was born Jan. 2, 1941, at Topeka the son of Earl B. Wikle, Sr. and Sarah Nancy "Sue" (Scott) Wikle.
Mr. Wikle was on the Shawnee Sheriff's Reserves and also worked as a security officer at Ramada Inn Downtown and Youth Center at Topeka. He had lived in Meriden form 1982 to 2005.
On April 1, 1982 he was married to Judy Collier. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Wikle.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Ronda Saunders of Leavenworth, Regina Edwards of Topeka, and Stacy Miller of Kansas City; 2 sons: Mike Wikle and Billy Morphis both of Topeka; 3 sisters: Sharon Coppinger of Quincy, IL, Desdah Long of Topeka, and Naomi Needham of Auburn; a brother: Ronald Whitlock, Sr. of Topeka; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Fri., March 24, 2006 at Mission Center Cemetery, SW 29th and Urish Road. Mr. Wikle will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Joyful Harvest Church, 1616 NE Seward Ave., Topeka, KS 66616.
