E. Scott Priddy, 93, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
He was born January 17, 1917 north of Topeka to John Clifford and Lulu Blanche (Goodnow) Priddy. Scott graduated from Seaman High School in 1934, where he was a member of the football team that was undefeated for four years. He graduated from Strickler Business College, where he met Geraldine Allen. They married in 1940. Scott served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a time keeper for Santa Fe Railroad for 34 years and a member of the Santa Fe Band and Santa Fe Golf League. Scott was an avid golfer and a regular at the Friday night Shriner's Bingo.
He is survived by son, Alan Scott (Judy) Priddy, Wyandotte, OK; daughters, Veronica (Terry) Ready, Topeka, KS; Martha (Lee) Culver, Marietta, GA; Janelle (Eldon) Specht, Keller, TX; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
