OBITUARY: Eda "Kay" Cook
Eda "Kay" Cook, 66, Valley Falls, died Mon., Jan. 10, 2011, at Medicalodge, Holton. Kay was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Jefferson County, the daughter of J.M. Laverne and M Loreen (Elkinton) Hayden. She attended Valley Falls Public Schools. She was a beauty operator in Valley Falls. Kay was married to William S. Cook. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2010. Surviving are 2 sons: Andy B. Cook (Lori) of Mayetta, and Corky D. Cook (Kathy) of Valley Falls; a sister: Martha Gilleece of Valley Falls; 2 brothers: Galen "Bud" Hayden of Valley Falls and Ted Hayden of Paola; and 4 grandchildren: Bailey, Jessica, Ashley, and Jacy. Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Holton Community Hospital Physical Therapy Dept., 1110 Columbine Dr., Holton, KS 66436.
